I work for a temporary agency and have to work alone in locations I’m not familiar with. What can I do if I'm feeling unsafe?

The company using the services of the temp agency must introduce you to your workplace. You should be told where any alarm buttons are located and how to call for help. The workplace should have instructions for what to do if you are threatened with violence. Discuss the threat of violence you may experience or have experienced with your employer (the temp agency) and let them know if you do not receive the necessary training when you start working at a location new to you.
