Tasks of the occupational safety and health authority transferred to the Finnish Supervisory Agency

EN Organisaatio - Virastouudistus

Since 1 January 2026, the tasks of the occupational safety and health authority have been transferred to the new Finnish Supervisory Agency.

At the beginning of 2026, the Occupational Safety and Health Department of the Finnish Supervisory Agency launched its work as the competent national occupational safety and health authority. The Regional State Administrative Agencies were terminated on 31 December 2025.

The Occupational Safety and Health Department of the Finnish Supervisory Agency carries out occupational safety and health inspections throughout Finland. We also process the permits and notifications that are the responsibility of the occupational safety and health authority. The Tyosuojelu.fi website, the occupational safety and health authority’s telephone service and e-service channels continue to serve clients as before.

Due to the agency reform, our website may have some outdated information in early 2026. We will update the name and contact details of the new agency on all pages as soon as possible. Up-to-date contact information can be found on the Contact Information page.
