My employer does not have an occupational health care agreement. How do I handle my suspected occupational disease?
Occupational health care is statutory for all employers. Notify the shortcoming to the Division of Occupational Safety and Health of the Regional State Administrative Agency.
If you suspect that you have developed an occupational disease, notify your employer or your immediate supervisor immediately. You employer or supervisor will provide you with an insurance certificate that will allow you to get treatment for your disease free of charge, for example at a health centre or hospital.
If you do not have the insurance certificate with you, you will have to pay for the treatment and medicines yourself. In this case, the expenses you have paid will be reimbursed by the insurance company against receipts.
