We are building a new production facility. Does our company need to perform checks concerning contractor’s obligations from the companies carrying out the construction work? Do we have to take into account the provisions of the Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability when Work is Contracted Out regarding construction activities, even though we don't operate in the construction sector?
Contractor's obligations and liability
The provisions regarding construction activities do not apply only to construction companies, but to all companies purchasing construction-related services. The contractor must therefore perform checks as provided in the Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability when Work is Contracted Out concerning the parties and take into account all provisions of the Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability when Work is Contracted Out regarding construction activities.
